Mason Bryan was the son of Jane Huey and Wade Anderson Bryan, Jr. He married Julian T. Brown on November 14, 1874 in Lincoln Parish, LA. They had two children. His second wife was Margaret Elizabeth "Betty" Griggs (his first cousin removed) whom he married on Dec 12, 1882 in Ouachita Parish, LA. They had twelve children.
