my ancestors, the Hilbuns, were neighbors and friends of Waid Bryan in Lowndes County, AL. I suspect a couple of the Hilbun/Hilburn boys married Waid's sisters or kin. Actually 3 Hilbun men married Bryant/Bryant girls.

DeleteI am researching this line - I share autosomal DNA with Wade Bryant ancestors as well as the Hilbun line that came through Lownds County. I have BigYDNA showing that this Wade Bryan line and my Samuel Bryant line as well as Robert Bryant line (died 1901 Geneva Alabama) and Theopilus Bryan line (death probated in 1861 Houston County Georgia) are closely related. Theophilus married Nancy Murray, daughter of John Murray, one of Wade Bryant and Hilbuns neighbors in 1830 Lowndes County Alabama -- my email is BamaAF@gmail.com
